Privacy Policy

DANGO RUN Privacy Policy

This policy is the personal information protection policy shared by the Android version (TapTap channel) and the iOS version (App Store channel) of DANGO RUN. It explains how we collect, use, store, share and protect your personal information, and how you can exercise your rights. The collection rules common to both channels are set out in Section 2; channel-specific content appears in the Android (TapTap channel) and iOS (App Store channel) subsections. Please read it carefully and make sure you fully understand it, especially the bolded parts.

Last updated: October 21, 2026Effective date: October 21, 2026Applies to: DANGO RUN for Android and iOSDeveloper: 尼奥巴兰网络科技(上海)有限公司

1. Introduction

DANGO RUN is a 3D chase game played on the six faces of a cube. We understand how important your personal information is to you, and we will handle it with the utmost care in accordance with the Personal Information Protection Law of the People’s Republic of China (“PIPL”), the Provisions on the Administration of Mobile Internet Application Information Services and other applicable laws and regulations, as well as the national standard Information Security Technology — Personal Information Security Specification (GB/T 35273-2020).

Before you agree to this policy, we will not initialize the TapTap SDK (Android version), will not initiate in-app purchases (iOS version), and will not collect or transmit any information. On the Android version you may decline and exit the app at first launch; on the iOS version you may also decline — the app then stays in a zero-collection mode (no SDK is initialized and nothing is reported) and remains fully playable, and we will ask again the next time you launch it.

On the Android version (TapTap channel), entering the game requires signing in with a TapTap account and completing real-name verification and anti-addiction registration; see Section 2.5. The iOS version (App Store channel) does not integrate TapTap: no account login is required, and skins are unlocked through in-app purchases; see Section 2.6.

This policy applies to all services provided to you by the Android and iOS versions of DANGO RUN and their subsequent updates. If anything displayed in the app is inconsistent with this policy, the latest version of this policy prevails.

This English version is a translation of the Simplified Chinese original (run.neosura.com/privacy/) provided for your convenience. In case of any discrepancy, the Simplified Chinese version prevails.

2. How We Collect and Use Personal Information

2.1 General principles

We follow the principles of lawfulness, legitimacy, necessity and good faith, and collect only the minimum information necessary to deliver the product’s features. Except as described in this policy, we do not proactively collect any other information.

2.2 Common to both channels: data processed to provide basic game features (local saves)

To continue your progress, record your high score and save your settings, the app stores the following data (all saved locally on your device, on both channels):

  • High score, level progress and remaining lives, dash and decoy skill states;
  • Settings such as sound, graphics quality, motion effects, character and garden skins, and your consent status for this privacy policy;
  • An anonymous device identifier (a random string generated at install time, not linked to your real identity).

2.3 Common to both channels: anonymous usage logs and crash diagnostics collected to improve the product and services

Only after you agree to this policy, to assess stability, analyse level difficulty and improve the experience, we record anonymous usage events and crash diagnostics, used solely for product analysis and troubleshooting; if you have not agreed, no logs are sent. Each log entry may contain: the event name, level and mode, score, skill states, cause of failure, app version, system version and the anonymous device identifier. All such logs are anonymous data and contain none of your personally identifying information — no name, phone number, contacts, precise geographic location, ID card number, biometric data or the like.

2.4 Common to both channels: personal information we do not collect

On both channels we do not collect your name, phone number, contacts or precise geographic location, nor sensitive personal information such as ID card numbers or biometric data. The app does not request sensitive system permissions such as location, contacts, camera or microphone (see Section 7).

2.5 Android (TapTap channel)

This section applies only to the Android version (TapTap channel); the iOS version does not integrate TapTap and none of the processing described here takes place on iOS.

Under the National Press and Publication Administration’s Notice on Further Strictly Managing and Effectively Preventing Minors’ Addiction to Online Games and related rules, on the Android version entering the game requires signing in with a TapTap account and completing real-name verification; minor players’ playtime is restricted by the national anti-addiction rules (typically 20:00–21:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays). This flow is handled by the TapSDK (TapTap): after you agree to this policy, the SDK collects network status, device model, system version, device and operating system information and your TapTap account identifiers (OpenID and similar) for sign-in, real-name verification, anti-addiction playtime accounting and returning the results. Your game score is submitted to the TapTap leaderboard for ranking and display. Your real-name data (name and ID number) is used solely for verification on TapTap’s side; it is never transmitted to the game developer and is not stored by the game. The SDK’s processing rules are listed in Section 3.1.

2.6 iOS (App Store channel)

This section applies only to the iOS version (App Store channel).

The iOS version does not integrate TapTap: no account login is required, and there is no real-name verification, anti-addiction flow or TapTap leaderboard. Apart from the local saves and the anonymous usage logs and crash diagnostics described in Sections 2.2 and 2.3, the iOS version performs no other processing of personal information.

Some skins are unlocked through in-app purchases: purchases and payments are handled by Apple; we do not collect or store your bank card number, payment account or any other payment information, and the app only records the skin-unlock state locally. Purchases, refunds and related matters are handled by Apple under its own rules.

The iOS app’s interface is available in Simplified Chinese, English and Japanese, following your system language automatically; you do not need to provide the game with any additional information.

Note: entries marked “both channels” apply equally to the Android and iOS versions. Whether the Android SDK’s optional authorization items (such as IMEI, Android ID or the app install list) are actually collected depends on the SDK configuration and your grants; they are not collected unless the corresponding permission is enabled.

3. How We Share, Transfer and Publicly Disclose Personal Information

3.1 Sharing (third-party service directory)

We do not sell or rent your personal information. To provide channel features, the app integrates the following third-party services per channel (the TapSDK embedded in the Android version; Apple in-app purchases on the iOS version). We disclose each provider, purpose and the information processed; each third party processes the data under its own personal information protection rules:

3.2 Transfer

We do not transfer your personal information to any third party. In the event of a merger, acquisition, asset transfer or similar transaction, we will require the recipient to remain bound by this policy; otherwise we will require it to delete or anonymize the personal information, and we will notify you through in-app notices, store announcements or other accessible means.

3.3 Public disclosure

We publicly disclose your personal information only with your separate consent, or when mandatorily required by laws and regulations or by judicial or administrative authorities.

3.4 Processing as required by law

To fulfil legal obligations or cooperate with judicial or administrative investigations, we may process relevant information as required by law; apart from such cases and the scope disclosed in this section, we do not provide your personal information to any outside party.

4. How We Store and Protect Personal Information

4.1 Storage location and period

We retain data only for the shortest period necessary to achieve the purposes described in this policy, and delete or anonymize it once that period expires; where laws and regulations provide otherwise, those provisions prevail.

4.2 Security measures

We adopt encrypted transmission, minimum-necessary collection, access control and other administrative and technical measures to prevent information from being accessed, tampered with, disclosed or lost without authorization.

4.3 Security incident response

If a personal information security incident unfortunately occurs, we will promptly activate our emergency response plan and take remedial measures, inform you through in-app notices or announcements of the basic facts of the incident, the measures taken and the precautions you can take yourself, and report to the competent authorities as required by laws and regulations.

5. How You Can Manage Your Personal Information

Under the relevant laws and regulations, you can manage your information and authorizations in the following ways:

  • Withdraw consent (both channels): uninstalling the app is deemed withdrawal of your consent to this policy; local data is cleared on uninstall, and we stop processing any of your information from then on;
  • Android (TapTap channel): TapTap sign-in and real-name data are handled by TapTap under its own rules, and you can manage your account and authorizations on the TapTap platform. You can also review or revoke granted permissions at any time in the system’s “Settings → Apps → DANGO RUN → Permissions”; revoked features may become unavailable, but core gameplay is unaffected;
  • iOS (App Store channel): skin purchases are handled by Apple, and you can manage purchases and payment methods in your App Store account settings; the app requests no system permissions, so nothing needs to be granted in system settings;
  • Access, copying, correction and deletion: the game collects no personal identity information and all logs are anonymous data; uninstalling the app deletes your local data. If you need help exercising the above rights, or have questions, comments or complaints about this policy or our information processing, please contact us via the email in Section 9; after verifying your identity and request, we will handle it and respond promptly.

If you have any questions about this policy or our personal information processing, you can give feedback through the channels above; you also have the right to lodge complaints or reports with the competent personal information protection authorities.

6. Protection of Minors’ Personal Information

The game’s content is wholesome and it is not designed with minors as its target audience.

Android (TapTap channel): under the National Press and Publication Administration’s anti-addiction rules, the game implements real-name verification and anti-addiction through TapTap’s compliance service: all players must sign in with a TapTap account and complete real-name verification before entering the game; minor players may play only between 20:00 and 21:00 on Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays and statutory holidays, with playtime limited by the national anti-addiction rules. Real-name verification is handled on TapTap’s side; the game developer does not collect or store minors’ name, ID number or other real-name data.

iOS (App Store channel): no account login is required, there is no real-name verification or anti-addiction flow, and no real-name information about minors is collected. Guardians can manage app downloads, in-app purchases and playtime through Apple’s parental controls such as Screen Time.

If you have questions about minors using this app, or a guardian wishes to delete related account information, please contact us via the email in Section 9 (on the Android channel you can also manage account authorizations directly on the TapTap platform); uninstalling the app clears the local game data.

7. Permissions Used by the App

On both channels the app does not request sensitive permissions such as location, contacts, camera, microphone or photos. The permissions declared by the Android version or requested by third-party SDKs, and their purposes, are listed below; except where marked “required”, declining a permission does not affect core gameplay:

PermissionPurposeNecessity
Network (INTERNET)Anonymous usage logs and crash diagnostics; TapTap sign-in (real-name verification, anti-addiction and leaderboard)Required
Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE, declared by the TapTap SDK)Checking whether a network connection is available, used to verify connectivity before sign-in and leaderboard submissionNeeded for sign-in and anti-addiction; declining it does not affect core gameplay
Storage (READ_EXTERNAL_STORAGE / WRITE_EXTERNAL_STORAGE, legacy declarations from the engine template)The app’s saves and settings are all kept in the app’s private directory and can be read and written without these permissions; the declarations are leftovers from the game engine’s manifest template and are neither requested nor used at runtimeNo authorization needed; gameplay is unaffected in any way

Note: the permissions currently declared by the Android version are only “Network (INTERNET)”, “Network state (ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE)” and the legacy storage declarations from the engine template (not requested or used at runtime); no sensitive permissions such as location, contacts, camera or microphone are declared. The app also checks whether the TapTap client is installed (solely to launch TapTap sign-in; it does not read your list of installed apps).

iOS (App Store channel): the app requests no system permissions of any kind — not location, contacts, camera, microphone, photos, local network, notifications or anything else; in-app purchases go through the App Store and require no additional permissions.

8. How This Policy Is Updated

When the game’s features, analytics, third-party SDKs or data-processing practices change materially, or when changes in laws and regulations require adjustments, we may update this policy and notify you through in-app notices, store-page announcements or other accessible means. By continuing to use the new version after an update takes effect, you are deemed to have read, understood and accepted the updated policy; if you do not agree to the updated content, please stop using and uninstall the app.

In short: DANGO RUN stores your progress and settings on your device; after you agree to the policy, we receive only anonymous statistics and crash reports, which we use to make the game more stable; we do not collect your name, phone number, contacts or precise location. On the Android version (TapTap channel), entering the game requires TapTap sign-in, with real-name verification, anti-addiction and the leaderboard handled on TapTap’s side; on the iOS version (App Store channel) there is no TapTap and no login — skins are unlocked through in-app purchases handled by Apple, and we never see your bank card details.
